Well guys after quite a few problems with my Cooper S Convertible and the fact that I am unable to get anymore than about 25-30 MPG the garage is taking it back and I pick up my new Cooper D on Friday. Really looking forward to the £35 a year road tax and the massive MPG. Was surprised that it was not that much slower than the petrol version.
It is Chili Red with the following options:

17" Flame Spoke Alloys

Additional Decor Rings

CHILI Pack

Chrome-Line Exterior

Chrome-Line Interior

Colour Line Dark Grey

Front Centre Arm Rest

Interior Trim Brushed Alloy

Multi-func. Steering Wheel

Rain Sensor & Lights On

Roof&Mirror Caps in White

White Bonnet Stripes

Additional Driving Lamps

St George Cross On Roof

Will post some pics on Friday once I pick it up.
Will this be the 1st D in the club?

Sounds good Andy, hope it goes better this time than with the last one! Looking forward to the pics. It won't be the 1st D in the club, we've got at least 2 others that I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks guys, I really like the S but fuel costs are just too high considering I do 400 miles every weekend from Newcastle - Lincoln and Im sure I only get 30 MPG on average so looking forward to atleast 55. I have also had sevral problems with the car not starting and other faulty bits and bobs so Ill let you all know how it goes and put the pics on here friday as Im just waiting for the cross and fogs to go on first.

Picked my D up last week, what can I say apart from awesome. I was averaging 71MPG up the A1 at the weekend. Having now had both the petrol and now diesel R56 Cooper I can now deffinately say that the D is faster from about 50mph - 90mph this must be due to the extra torque?. I will try upload a few pics of the car this weekend.

You're right the Dooper is quicker in normal driving when you're already on the move than the petrol due to the extra torque. It's got the same amount as the R56 S!

Well got my Cooper D and really pleased with it especially the 70MPG I am getting. Had the front fogs fitted and my St George cross. Not sure what is next, just think I will enjoy it for a while first.
